Food Bank Outreach
Many opportunities exist to help Daily Bread support its member agencies and clients. The goal of this group is to determine how we can contribute as a group from CFUW Etobicoke.
Looking for at least a dozen members who are interested in 1) getting involved in our community food banks 2) coming up with a strategy for our Club and 3) helping organize the group.

The Goodwill Ambassadors reach out on behalf of the club to our members in times of loss, illness, accident, or personal struggle. We do this by sending cards or making telephone calls to our members. Our meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of alternate months at 9:30 a.m.

Meals on Wheels Task Force
Would you like to join the Task Force? We deliver MEALS ON WHEELS on behalf of CFUW-ETOBICOKE. The club logo is displayed on name badges and a record kept of our accumulated volunteer hours. The purpose is to increase our profile in the community, help where we are needed and have some fun. Commitment required is two hours over the noon hour, on the day of your choice, either weekly or bi-weekly.

Polycultural Conversation Circle Task Force
We take turns facilitating a weekly English language Conversation Circle with new immigrants at Polycultural Immigrant and Community Services. Many of the new immigrants have come to Canada with university education, professional credentials and experience. The purpose of CFUW Etobicoke’s involvement is to increase our profile in the broader community and to use our skills and experience to help new immigrants successfully move into employment and life in Canada. The time commitment is generally 3 consecutive weekly sessions every 12 weeks. Sessions are held on Thursday afternoons. A small number of members who can only commit to occasional sessions can be accommodated.
