2025-2026 Resolutions Meeting
Please join us for this Annual Resolution Meeting.
The Zoom link was sent in our March 12 email and will be sent again in a reminder on March 19.
This year there are 2 resolutions from CFUW National and 1 from the Ontario Council (OC).
Note to CFUW Etobicoke Club Members:
- The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the resolution statements and suggest additions and or deletions to the statements to the Clubs who have developed the resolutions.
- Any changes are called amendments. An amendment is a proposed change to the Resolved Clause(s). It must be relevant to the subject of the Resolution. No new subject may be introduced.
- The details of each of the resolutions from CFUW are in the linked document below.
- CFUW (National) resolutions are presented first followed by CFUW Ontario Council.
- When a resolution has been passed at the respective AGM it becomes policy.
- Once a resolution has been passed, we, as a Club of CFUW, are most interested in the Implementation section which helps us as individuals or as a Club determine which actions we might take to help the policy come to fruition in our communities.
- If any of the resolutions are approved at the AGMs we will receive all of the policy information again and send it out to our Club members in an autumn newsletter.
Please click here to open the document containing all the information about this year’s resolutions.

2025-2026 Land Acknowledgement
We meet on land in Etobicoke and acknowledge that this land is the ancestral home of the Wendat, Anishinaabe, Houdenosaunee, most recently the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and which is still the home for many indigenous people from across Turtle Island. We support the Truth and Reconciliation process, and hope that diverse peoples may better share the land, its wealth, and incredible resources. We are grateful to learn, understand and grow alongside Indigenous peoples.
